CREO: Our annual celebration of the arts

Latin for "to make, create, produce," CREO is an annual celebration from Mount Mary University's School of Arts & Design showcasing student work from fashion, studio art, graphic design, interior design and art therapy that culminates in a student-run fashion show.

CREO is another example of how Mount Mary University lives its mission of being a Creative Campus — a place that recognizes the importance of creativity and nurtures a unique brand of talent that can improvise new ways of thinking.

Fashion Design

Mount Mary University’s fashion design major blends the excitement of change, challenges of new technology and skill in design and manufacturing to create innovate and functional solutions. Courses cover topics such as sewing techniques, pattern construction, fashion drawing, textiles and computer graphics.

Merchandise Management

Our merchandise management curriculum emphasizes student understanding of the global impact and issues in our society from sourcing, manufacturing and sustainability. We also incorporate five attributes of creativity: agility, exploration/experimentation, imagination, open-mindedness, and navigating complexity. The result is a fashion industry professional who is prepared to be challenged by the marketplace and by a career in a highly competitive industry.
