Tom Berenz (Milwaukee) is interested in the unlimited possibilities, applications, and styles within a painting. The work is about two-dimensional space, the language of painting, and the way an idea is transformed into a painting. With the motif of chaos, Berenz explores the existential self and examines literal and enigmatic personal narratives. Notions of loss, place, memory, space and time are central to his examination of personal experiences.
