The Mount Mary College curriculum is based on the human search for meaning. For those pursuing a teaching license, the sequence of courses identified for an Early Childhood/Middle Childhood Teaching Major allows you to meet the following requirements:
- Mount Mary College Core Courses – introduce students to a broad base of knowledge from the liberal arts
- Professional Education Courses – prepare students to teach in their certification area and include fieldwork and student teaching
- General Studies – present the breadth of knowledge and skills for teachers outlined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
An advisor will help you select an appropriate combination of courses to meet these requirements.
While it is not required by the Department of Public Instruction for this licensure area, it is recommended that Early Childhood/Middle Childhood teacher education students select a teaching minor.
