Childhood through Adolescence Undergraduate Program The Mount Mary College curriculum is based on the human search for meaning. For those pursuing a teaching license, the sequence of courses identified for an Early Adolescence/Adolescence teaching major allows you to meet the following requirements:
An advisor will help you select an appropriate combination of courses to meet these requirements. Through this combination of courses in general education, in your chosen discipline and in the professional education sequence of courses, as well as through a variety of field experiences and student teaching you will prepare to assume the roles and responsibilities of a teacher in your content area at either the elementary, middle or high school level. Specialty licensure areas enable teachers to work with students throughout the age range from birth to age 21 (typically pre-kindergarten through high school).
