What Does the 2012-2013 AcademicTheme “Competence” Mean?

Competence, one of the core values of Mount Mary College, evokes the "can do" attitude that the sisters manifested when founding the College 100 years ago. It suggests self-knowledge, the ability to think critically and creatively, and the capacity to transfer strengths and skills to whatever task is at hand. Mount Mary leaders discern who they are called to become and use their gifts accordingly.
