Throughout its history Mount Mary has identified leadership as a desired outcome of higher education. Recently the college has made significant advances in identifying and measuring how that outcome is achieved. Even more importantly, Mount Mary has developed a leadership model that is distinctive from other institutions in the emphasis it places on social justice.

The Mount Mary College has raised over $3 million for the Women's Leadership Institute which will include:

• A speakers series on leadership topics
• Courses and workshops focused on development of leadership skills
• Mentoring opportunities for community leaders and between community leaders and students
• A reference library on leadership materials
• Common meeting place for leadership organizations

Women's leadership reference library housed on the first floor of the Gerhardinger Center.

MINDing the Future goals include:

• Revitalize classrooms and technology throughout the campus
• Enhance faculty development and expand existing scholarship funds
• Construct a Science, Technology, and Campus Center
• Create new social and recreational space
• Construct a Recreation Center
• Increase support of the Annual Fund
• Initiate a Women's Leadership Institute
