Step Singing has been a tradition at Mount Mary College since 1926. At this special event, graduates sing songs with fellow classmates and are treated to a special presentation from the faculty. The highlight of this affair is "The Exchange of Lights of Learning" where students acknowledge person(s) who have helped them achieve their academic goals with a special candle. Recipients can be a spouse, a parent, a child, a fellow student, or anyone.
