Mount Mary College Alumnae Association Starving Artists Show®

Sponsored by the Mount Mary College Alumnae Association, the Starving Artists' Show® is an outdoor art show that spreads out on the west lawn of Mount Mary College each year on the Sunday following Labor Day. The show features local and national artists that work in all mediums selling original artwork for $100 or less.

Thank you for your interest in the 45th Annual Starving Artists’ Show. Please refer to the 2013 application information for details on participating.

Timeline -

January: Applications accepted.
Please include a CD containing 6-12 images of recent work to be exhibited. No slides or photos, please. See application for more submission details.
March 1: Registration deadline and jurying begins.
April: Artists are notified of acceptance.
A limited number of artists in every media will be accepted. Previous participation in the Starving Artists' Show does not guarantee acceptance.
September 8: Starving Artists' Show
Artists may set-up Saturday, September 7, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 8, 7:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. Check in for all accepted artists is Sunday after 7:00 a.m.

Fees -
Two separate checks, payable to Mount Mary College Alumnae Association, must be included with application.

$20 non-refundable processing fee
$120 registration fee (Artists not accepted for the show will have the registration fees returned.)

To be placed on the mailing list, please email the Mount Mary College Alumnae Office and provide your name, media, (e.g. drawing, enameling, fibers/leather, glass, photography, pottery, sculpture, jewelry or graphics) phone number, and mailing address.

Volunteer Information

The Starving Artists' Show is only successful because of its over 300 volunteers made up of alumnae, Mount Mary students, and their families.

Proceeds from the show

The Starving Artists' Show® is sponsored by the Mount Mary College Alumnae Association. All proceeds benefit the College. Close to one million dollars in donations have been made to the College from the profits from the Show.
