Occupational Therapy -
Skills for the Job of Living

I am an occupational therapy assistant and want to become a registered occupational therapist.

Then you are looking for the

Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program

Mount Mary's occupational therapy program honors the skills and experiences of occupational therapy assistants. The faculty in the occupational therapy department are ready to help you determine how your previous college coursework and clinical experiences can count for credit toward earning your Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees.

Mount Mary's occupational therapy program is a combined bachelor of science and master of science program. Students complete a bachelor of science degree that focuses on individual treatment and then participate in a faculty arranged fieldwork experience for six months, putting textbook knowledge into practice. Concurrent with fieldwork students use the Internet for distance learning to complete one year of graduate study that focuses on the student's preferred practice area. At the completion of all graduate studies, students earn a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.

To learn more about how your previous OT assistant coursework can count for credit toward earning your degree, contact the OT Department.
