January 31, 2013 -- The Mount Mary College community marked its Centennial on January 31, 2013 with a Mass of the Holy Spirit in the Alumnae Dining Hall. Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki presided and spoke of parallels in his own religious calling and the path of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the University’s sponsors. He thanked the Mount Mary community for “expending the generosity of God – taking what you learn here and expending it with others.”
More than 300 guests attended the mass which included a special fire bowl procession by three Mount Mary students, symbolizing a presence of the Holy Spirit. After the mass, Archbishop Listecki greeted guests, including over 70 School Sisters of Notre Dame.
