Each piece displayed will be available for purchase for $20. Proceeds support the Mount Mary University Marian Art Gallery.   Download a prospectus.

    Bus departs from the west side of Notre Dame Hall on the Mount Mary campus for various Task Force locations and returns in time for lunch at Mount Mary!       James Conlon, Ph.D., Philosophy Professor at Mount Mary University
      Relying on 40 years of teaching this central course in Mount Mary's Core Curriculum, Dr. Conlon will explore ways in which the questioning found at the heart of all human life has both changed and stayed the same through student discussions over the years.
    • Stress Reduction...NOW!!!
      Laurel End, Ph.D., LPC-IT, Professor of Psychology at Mount Mary University
      Explore stress reduction techniques and observe how physiological changes can be represented visually with biofeedback equipment. Dr. End shows how mindfulness meditation, guided imagery, and progressive relaxation techniques can be used to reduce stress.

    Join guests of Mount Mary University alumnae in touring the Harley Davidson Museum. Lunch reservations are available immediately following tour at own cost. Guests are responsible for their own transportation. Limited space available; preference will be provided to guests of the Class of 1964.

    • Art of the Creative Leader: Dancing with Complexity
      Presented by the Women's Leadership Institute, Danceworks, and Debra Dosemagen, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Chair of Education at Mount Mary University.
      Participants will better realize their leadership potential to work with change and navigate complexity through participation in an artistic expressive learning experience. The capacity to anticipate, respond, and adapt to the unique needs of a situation (the "dance") are critical skills for all high performance leaders.
    • The Murderer is in this Room: Detective Fiction and Culture
      Paul Gagliardi, Ph.D., Instructor, Mount Mary University
      One of the most popular forms of entertainment, in any medium, are stories of the detective. In this class, we will study the character of the detective in literature and on television. We will also consider the importance of the detective in contemporary culture.
    • Down and Dirty with Chocolate (ages 8 and up)
      Lynn M. Diener, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Chair of Sciences at Mount Mary University
      In this family-friendly, hands-on class, expect to learn a little about the science of chocolate, including some of the claims about chocolate's apparently miraculous health benefits. This class will end with an experiment using chocolate. Expect to get a little messy!

Enjoy our special "Homecoming on the Mount" ice cream flavor at Purple Door Ice Cream, 205 S. Water Street in Milwaukee, during the entire week!

And the winning name is....(drum roll, please!)........."Mount Mary Berry!"

Thank you for helping to name this new flavor that includes real blueberries and blackberries combined in a sweet cream ice cream with a touch of buttermilk.

Relaxation Station
The Student Lounge in Caroline Hall is available all of Saturday for anyone who wants to sit back and relax. Student hostesses can assist you with any questions or needs you have. Complimentary coffee and a crackling fire will warm the room for all guests!

History of Mount Mary Exhibit
October 11, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  and October 12, 12:00 p.m. -- 3:00 p.m.

The History of Mount Mary will be on exhibit at School Sisters of Notre Dame, Elm Grove Campus (formerly known as the Motherhouse). Stop in for a visit to this special exhibit portraying the story of Mount Mary in its first 100 years.
