Orff Schulwerk Teacher Training Program, Levels I and II

Since 1984, the music department has offered a summer music training program in Orff Schulwerk for the music specialist, music therapist, classroom teacher, and church musician. Overall course content follows the Guidelines of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) for Teacher Training Courses.

This coursework is for the music specialist, therapist, church musician, and anyone with basic music training.

Earn four graduate credits or four undergraduate credits (Note: the undergraduate credits are not recognized as a prerequisite for the Orff Schulwerk Level II)

On-campus housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A certificate is awarded at the successful completion of each of the two levels offered. Levels I and II of the Orff Schulwerk program and eight music courses offered for graduate credit may be applied to the Master of Arts in Education with Special Emphasis in Music.
