Orff Schulwerk Teacher Training Program, Levels I and II

In March 2010, General Music Practicum, MUS 597 (1/2 graduate credit) and MUS 497 (1/2 undergraduate credit) were offered.

This course provided for greater understanding of the Orff Schulwerk concepts and teaching process, and for opportunities for music specialists and classroom teachers to learn from outstanding teachers, to share ideas, to discuss common interests, and to continue to develop their music teaching skills and techniques.

Since 1984, the Music Department has offered a music training program in Orff Schulwerk for the music specialist, music therapist, classroom teacher, and church musician. Overall course content follows the Guidelines of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) for Teacher Training Courses.
