“The world is waiting for you. Now you have to decide how you are going to get there. Let Mount Mary College help.”

Midtown Scholarship Program

For over 90 years, Mount Mary College has been helping women discover their talents, strengths, career paths and personal interests. Inspired by a commitment to educate women, the College is proud to offer the Midtown Scholarship Program.

The Midtown Scholarship Program offers young women of Milwaukee academic, personal, and financial support as they pursue their degree at Mount Mary. The Midtown Scholarship award guarantees that an eligible student's federal, state, and Mount Mary gift assistance cover between 70 and 85 percent of tuition costs.

Accepted Midtown students attend a mandatory six week Summer Bridge Program beginning in June. Then continue their studies in the fall at Mount Mary's Midtown Campus located inside the YWCA building at 1915 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Milwaukee.

Acceptance into the Program is based on academic merit, leadership commitment, and demonstrated financial need. Young women are eligible to be considered for the scholarship if they:

  • Are accepted to Mount Mary College (Apply online, today!)
  • Are a graduate of a Milwaukee-area high school
  • Demonstrate leadership experience through curricular and extracurricular activities
  • Are between the ages of 18 and 21
  • Are a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States
  • Are a first-time college student
  • Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, available online

Due to the generous award and the academic requirements, the selection process is very competitive. Each year, only 50 students are selected to be part of the Midtown Scholarship Program.

The application for consideration does require several documents. Students interested in the program should plan ahead and be sure to meet the extended application submission deadline of March 31.
