Flexible Curriculum to Match Your Interests

Mount Mary offers a Bachelor of Arts in English degree, as well as a minor in English, a minor in journalism and a post-baccalaureate certificate in English. You can choose to specialize in one of three areas: writing for new media, English literature or English education. Courses are offered in day, evening and accelerated formats for your convenience.

English Activities Outside of Class

English majors can participate in several student organizations, such as Arches student newspaper, Sigma Tau Delta honor society and Paper Clips.

Scholarships for English Majors

Each of our student publications provide writing awards to English students. As an English major, you may be eligible for an English-specific scholarship at Mount Mary during your senior year.
