| It goes without saying that academics are a major part of college life. But you'll find a well-rounded education includes more than that. It's getting to know the diverse group of people around you; becoming involved in clubs and organizations; taking advantage of spiritual, personal and cultural opportunities; developing as a leader; and just plain having fun. That's why Mount Mary sponsors concerts, plays and dances; organizes activities with other Milwaukee colleges and universities; provides a variety of athletic outlets; and offers community service and ministry opportunities. Other on-campus programs incorporate prominent lecturers, films and entertainers. Regional artists' works are continually on display in the Marian Gallery. Students may also participate in college musical, dramatic, artistic and literary projects. One example is the Madrigal Dinner, an elaborate Renaissance Christmas feast. There are fashion shows, recitals and student art exhibits as well.
The college neighborhood is also close to movie theaters, shopping centers, and indoor and outdoor activity areas. Less than 15 minutes away, downtown Milwaukee offers diverse entertainment, cultural venues and a wide variety of professional and college sports competitions.
