Patrons are responsible for materials checked out in their name, for the payment of overdue charges and for replacement fees of lost items: “A student who is delinquent in tuition/fee payments (including parking fees and library fines) is not entitled to grades, credits, transcripts, nor participation in graduation exercises." Most Library items are loaned for 28 days, with shorter loans at the end of terms; AV items are loaned for 7 days; items from other SWITCH libraries, such as videos, DVDs or CDs may have shorter loan periods

Reserve items check out for 2-hours, 1-day, 3-day and 7-day loan periods; 2-hour Reserve items are for In-Library Use Only

Overdue notices are sent to a patron's mailbox or home address; failure to receive a notice does not alter a patron’s responsibility to return items nor exempt a patron from overdue penalties

Overdue charges are $1.00 per day per book; the fine is not collected until the 10 th day; after the 9 th day, a $50.00 replacement fee and a non-refundable $10.00 processing fee is charged; overdue charges for AV items are $1.00 per day per item; the fine is not collected until the 4 th day; after the 4 th day, a $65.00 replacement fee and a non-refundable $10.00 processing fee is charged; REPLACEMENT FEES ARE WAIVED IF ITEMS ARE RETURNED AFTER PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE
