Mount Mary's interior design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER). Our program is recognized for its excellence among employers, students, and peers across the country. The program is focused on academic, personal, and social development while providing exceptional opportunities in networking, community involvement, and practical experience. Many class projects consist of real spaces represented by actual clients and juried by interior design practitioners. Courses are taught by caring faculty members who bring their impressive professional and educational experience to the classroom.
Individuals interested in interior design should have an appreciation for the world around them and a desire to create a better place for its occupants. Whether designing interior spaces for a large corporation, a ten thousand square foot home, or a public housing project, interior designers have numerous and diverse opportunities to use their problem-solving skills and creativity.
The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) is an independent accrediting body for interior design programs in North America. An accredited interior design education tells the student, employer, and public that the program of study meets high interior design education standards. The Mount Mary College Interior Design Program has been continuously accredited since 1986.
