Personal Interests: reading (just about anything), writing, doodling, photography, traveling, and transporting my son to various sporting activities (hockey, baseball, etc.)
Mini-essay: E.L. Doctorow said, "Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go." I love the metaphor of writing as a form of exploration -- it's a process of discovery that you never stop learning from. As a writing instructor, I encourage my students to seek new paths in their writing, to take risks, and above all, to enjoy the journey.
