Eight candidates identified
The Presidential search is moving along well, and we are writing to brief you on our progress.
The Search Committee has reduced the applicant pool to a smaller group of eight candidates whose background and experience seem especially consistent with the qualities and qualifications for the President as established for the search. Our Search Committee members and our search consultant are checking the references of candidates we have invited to confidential preliminary interviews with the Search Committee later this month at an off-campus location. Upon completion of that round of interviews, the Committee will select finalist candidates to participate in more extensive on-campus interviews with a broad range of campus constituents. We will schedule finalist candidate visits in late November and early December and will update you on the specifics of these visits as soon as they are scheduled.
The Committee will continue to stay in touch with you throughout the process, and we welcome your comments and questions at any time. We are very pleased with the quality of the candidate pool and have every reason to believe that our search will come to a successful conclusion.
