Sigma Tau Delta
Sigma Tau Delta, the international English Honor Society, has had a chapter at Mount Mary College since 1951. The society provides opportunities for scholarly publications in The Rectangle and presentations at an annual conference each spring.
Requirements for membership include:
- English, Literature, English Professional Writing, English Education, or English Broadfield Language Arts major or minor
- 3.0 grade point average
- Sophomore standing or above

- 2010 Literature, Creativity and Social Justice Conference - October 16, Milwaukee
- 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- $12 Registration Fee (waived for presenters), Lunch included
Registration deadline: September 16, 2010 (Registration information coming soon) - For Students: panels of student work, open mic. session, and a special seminar, "The College Application Essay"
- For Faculty: a special seminar, "Starting an NEHS Chapter at Your High School"
Mount Mary Sigma Tau Students
Members of Sigma Tau Delta are eligible for undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Currently the Mount Mary chapter has 50 members. Potential members are invited to apply every fall semester.
