Sigma Tau Delta
Sigma Tau Delta, the international English Honor Society, has had a chapter at Mount Mary College since 1951. The society provides opportunities for scholarly publications in The Rectangle and presentations at an annual conference each spring.
Requirements for Membership include:
- English, Literature, English Professional Writing, English Education, or English Broadfield Language Arts major or minor
- 3.0 grade point average
- Sophomore standing or above
Members of Sigma Tau Delta are eligible for undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Currently the Mount Mary chapter has 50 members. Potential members are invited to apply every fall semester.
Annual Event: The second annual Literature, Creativity, and Social Justice Conference for high school juniors and seniors across Wisconsin is scheduled for October 19, 2009.
