Paper Clips -
Paper Clips
submissions are first selected from writings within English classes. After these papers are submitted, the English faculty reads all the selections and chooses those that will be published in Paper Clips. The essays published in Paper Clips are representative of some of the college's finest student writing.

Arches
, the Mount Mary student newspaper, is a member of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and the Associated Collegiate Press and offers a printed version and an online version (shown at right).

Arches operates as both a learning lab and a student organization. There are many opportunities for involvement including:

  • photography
  • illustration
  • page design

Arches Wraps Honors
The Mount Mary College student news publication, Arches, received fifth place in Best of Show, Publication Website, from the Associated Collegiate Press at the Midwest convention onimage: Arches staff members receive fifth place for Best of Show, Publication Website, awarded by the Associated Collegiate Press, at the Midwest convention in February. February 13, 2011. Arches competed against student publications from Midwest colleges and universities of all sizes. See the list of award winners.

Arches was recently given an honor rating of "First Class with One Mark of Distinction for Writing and Editing" from the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP). The publication also received third place for "General Excellence" in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's annual collegiate competition.

Two students also received special honors. Kameryn Opatken won third place for graphics and Shannon Somers-Mueller won an honorable mention for column writing.
