Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence Certification to Masters Program

For those who already have a bachelor’s degree and are now pursuing a teaching license, your studies are divided into two areas of concentration:

General studies requirements possibly may be fulfilled by coursework completed for your bachelor’s degree. Some of the courses included in the professional education sequence may be taken for graduate credit and may be applied toward Mount Mary’s Master of Arts in Education program upon the completion of certification.

An advisor will help you select an appropriate combination of courses to meet these requirements.

In addition to the basic degree requirements for this licensure area, the Department of Public Instruction requires that Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence teacher education students select a teaching minor.
