Education Graduate Program Structure

The graduate program in education is open to women and men who hold a bachelor's degree and a teaching license. It offers many options for teachers who can design their own program or choose one of the Special Emphases.

The program has four main components and requires 30 credits for completion.

Component 1 - General Studies (3 credits)

Seminar: Issues Affection Education

Component 2 - Subject-area Specialization (12 credits)

Option 1 - Complete 12 elective credits related to the teacher's grade level certification

Option 2 - Complete one of the 12-credit Special Emphases or design your own emphasis

Component 3 - Required Professional Courses (9 credits)

Instructional Strategies Curriculum Design Diversity Among Learners

Component 4 - Seminar and Graduate Project (6 credits)
