Accessibility Services Mount Mary College is committed to providing equal opportunities in higher education to academically qualified students with disabilities. We work towards an appreciation of students' abilities through partnerships with students, faculty, and staff to create a campus community that values the unique talents each person brings. A part-time Coordinator of Accessibility Services addresses the needs of otherwise qualified students with recognized physical, learning, sensory, or psychological disabilities affecting a major life activity (e.g. walking, communicating, seeing, learning, etc.). Many disabilities can also be hidden or less apparent such as learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, medical impairments and other health related conditions. Students with disabilities have access to tools and resources that provide them with an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of course content. Mount Mary College does not however, offer a specialized curriculum for persons with disabilities nor specialized disability advisors. Students may receive accommodations for a documented disability at Mount Mary College by providing the required documentation, completing an evaluation and meeting with Coordinator of Accessibility Services to identify reasonable accommodations. Download the Accessibility Services Policy Packet for information on:
Prospective, current students and parents are encouraged to contact the Coordinator of Accessibility Services to discuss Accessibility Services at the College. An Accessibility Services Intake Form can be completed and submitted confidentially to the office of the Accessibility Services Coordinator by mail, fax, email, or in person.
