Environmental Studies Minor

The Environmental Studies minor educates students about human interactions with the environment. The curriculum integrates knowledge of the natural world with an appreciation of the environmental impact of human cultural and social processes as well as individual values and behavior. Through an understanding of these relationships, students develop an intellectual foundation for creating a just and sustainable world. Students acquire a basic knowledge of environmental science and use this knowledge to explore the relationship and responsibility of society and the individual to the natural world. The interdisciplinary Environmental Studies minor encourages the development of a coherent connection among courses in the core curriculum.
