Art Therapy Undergraduate Program
Do you have empathy for others and a passion for using art as a tool for communication and understanding? If so, a career in Art Therapy may be right for you.
Art Therapists are human service professionals who use their creativity and knowledge about human development and psychology to help people heal and grow. Art Therapy can enrich the lives of people with physical, emotional, social, and spiritual challenges.
Mount Mary College Art Therapy students expand their understanding of self, art, and humanity. They learn to use imagination and relationship building to help others learn about themselves, express feelings, and communicate through the creative process of art making.
The undergraduate Art Therapy program is a pre-professional major that introduces the expanding field of art therapy. Built on a solid foundation of studio art and psychology, an art therapy major prepares students for entry-level positions or for graduate-level study to become a registered art therapist.
Why choose Mount Mary College for an art therapy education?
- learn from faculty who are practicing clinicians
- enjoy a low student-to-teacher ratio
