March

March 11 - 14: Padre Serra Tournament - 52nd Annual Invitational Boy’s and Girl’s Grade School Basketball Tournament. Bloechl Recreation Center. Admission fee charged. Tournament continues March 18 - 21.

March 15 - 19: Spring Break. Although classes are not in session this week, the College is open.

March 18: Wisconsin Go Lead - Interactive discussion for women interested in working in the political arena, Gerhardinger Center, Room 109.

March 18 -21: Padre Serra Tournament - 52nd Annual Invitational Boy’s and Girl’s Grade School Basketball Tournament. Bloechl Recreation Center. Admission fee charged.

March 19 and 20: The West Suburban Quilters’ Guild will present their biennial quilt show at Mount Mary College on Friday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 and the show will be held in the Alumnae Dining Room. Read the press release.

Through March 20: Art exhibit in the Marian Art Gallery - Mount Mary College Art and Design Division Faculty.

Wednesday, March 24: Writers on Writing with Samuel Hazo, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Helfaer Hall, free and open to the public. Advanced registration required.

Wednesday, March 24: Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum presents "Virginia Huebner: A Badger State Maverick," 7:00 p.m., $3, Alumnae Dining Room.

March 26 - 28: Conflict Resolution Skills - Mediation Training, a non-credit course with Dr. Lynne Woehrle, Notre Dame Hall, Room 063.

Saturday, March 27: Enrollment Event - Snapshot Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon, Gerhardinger Center, Room 109.

Monday, March 29: Haiti Relief Event. 5 p.m. in Alumnae Dining Room. The evening event will include a lecture, fair trade market, Haitian music and food.

Tuesday, March 30: Career Event, "Imagine Your Image," featuring
Matchless Image, LLC, a Waukesha-based firm specializing in image consulting. The free event is sponsored by the Offices of Alumnae Relations and Advising & Career Development. 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. in Helfaer Hall. Lunch can be purchased for $3.

Wednesday, March 31: Women's History Month Concert, "Women in Music: Someone Will Remember Us." 7:00 p.m. in Helfaer Hall. Tickets are available the night of the concert at the door only. Cost is $10 general public; $5 Mount Mary College employees; and free to Mount Mary students with ID.

April

April 1 - 4: Easter Break. The Campus will be closed beginning at noon on Thursday, April 1.

Wednesday, April 14: Foley-Poehlman Diversity Lecture, "Racial Justice and Dialogue: Do the Two Go Together?", 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Helfaer Hall, free.

Friday, April 16: Spring Symposium, Border Crossings: Art Therapy in the World, presentations and workshops by prominent regional art therapists and art therapy educators broken down into four groups of concurrent sessions, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by reception.

Saturday, April 17: Enrollment Event - Spring Preview Day, 9 a.m. to noon, Alumnae Dining Room.

Monday, April 19: First Annual Mount Mary College Multicultural Fair, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. More information available soon.

Thursday, April 22: Leadership event offered by the Women's Leadership Institute and the Office of Alumnae Relations. "The Face of Success: Ethical and Courageous Leadership," 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Gerhardinger Center.

Friday, April 23: Second Annual Gospel Choir Jamboree, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Admission - $10, adults and $5, children under 12, Bloechl Recreation Center. Register online.

April 26 through 30: Enrollment Event - Transfer Visit Week, by appointment.

Tuesday, April 27: Enrollment Event - Adult Student Information Session, 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., Steimke Hall, (reference #5 on the campus map.)

Saturday, May 1: Enrollment Event - Snap Shot Saturday, 10 a.m. to Noon, Notre Dame Hall, Room 237.

Friday, May 7: Annual Spring Fashion Show, Kostka Theater, featuring the work of 32 student presenting over 100 original designs, 1:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m. Visit the Mount Mary College Fashion Department for more information.

Friday, May 7: Sustainable Charity, Mount Mary College Interior Design Department Student Portfolio Show and ASIS/IIDA Chapter Silent Auction and Upcycling Extravaganza, 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. This event will be held off campus at Design Within Reach. Learn more.

Saturday, May 8: Enrollment Event - MBA Info Session, 9 a.m., Notre Dame Hall, Room 144. Watch a video.
