Is paying online safe?
Yes. Our online giving is conducted through a secure site. Your payment and personal information is protected using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. SSL software encrypts your personal information, including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
Can I set up automatic payments for my annual fund donation?
Yes. Once you determine a level of annual giving, Mount Mary can arrange for a monthly automatic deduction from your credit card or checking account until you reach the predetermined annual gift amount.
Is there a minimum amount for donations to Mount Mary?
No, there is not a minimum for cash donations and many other forms of charitable gifts. Every dollar is important to helping students create a brighter future. Some endowed and planned giving options do require a minimum amount.
What is the difference between an unrestricted and restricted gift?
A restricted gift is a gift that you designate for a specific purpose, such as for scholarships, equipment or classrooms. An unrestricted gift is donated toward general operating expenses and these funds are not earmarked for a specific need, but can be used where the need is the greatest at Mount Mary.
How do I designate a specific purpose or use of my gift?
When you make a pledge or donation, you can specify any restrictions or special instructions on how you want your gift handled. For planned gifts or estate planning, Mount Mary can provide suggested wording to include in wills, beneficiary information or other documentation.
