Basketball Coach Juan Farmer

Coach Juan FarmerJuan Farmer, a Milwaukee native, is starting his third season at the helm of the Blue Angel basketball ship. He inherited a struggling team with very few dedicated players and has turned the program around in a very short period of time. The roster has grown and so has the win column. Juan looks forward to continuing to build the Blue Angels program into a well respected and competitive one.

In the 2008-09 season Juan had the first team members ever for any Blue Angel team named to the Association of Division III Independents and has had members on the team since. He also guided the team to a record breaking season with the most wins by a Mount Mary athletic team..

Mount Mary College now hosts the well-known Padre Serra Basketball Tournament that Juan played in as a young player. He continued on to stand out at Bay View High School. After attending school in Minnesota, Juan began his coaching career with boys. He switched to coaching competitive young women in 1990 and has enjoyed a long career of it.

Juan has two children that have followed in his footsteps. His daughter, Justine is a basketball star in her own right and his son, Juan D. Farmer Jr., is already showing off his shooting and dribbling skills as a five year old.
