Basketball Coach: Juan Farmer

Coach Juan FarmerJuan Farmer Sr., a Milwaukee native, is currently in his sixth season as the women's basketball coach at Mount Mary College. Farmer inherited a struggling team with very few dedicated players and has turned the program around in a very short period of time. The roster has grown and so has the win column.

Farmer began his coaching career volunteering with city youth basketball organizations, mainly coaching boys' basketball. After several seasons, Farmer switched to coaching women's basketball. During this transition he developed a summer recreation program named The Lady Scholars, which has become one of Wisconsin's elite summer basketball programs.

In 2006, mid-way through the basketball season, Farmer became the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Mount Mary College, with a team of only three players to begin his journey. In the 2008 season, Coach Farmer guided Mount Mary to the most wins in its history while adding two players to the first team of Association of Division III Independents, and has added a player to that team ever year since.

Coach Farmer has also added to his resume by coaching several players of the week, several players of the month, and in the 2011 season, AD3I player of the year, Jordan Osley. Coach Farmer looks forward to continuing to build the Blue Angels program into a well respected and competitive one.
