Art Therapy Masters Program Application Information

For formal admission to the Masters of Science in Art Therapy Program, please submit all the materials outlined in the Art Therapy Graduate Program Application Procedure document. Please download this document and keep the instructions for easy reference.

Applications for the Master of Science in Art Therapy are accepted twice a year for enrollment in the fall term. There is a limit of 30 students accepted each year into the program.

• For early admission, the deadline is October 31.
• For open admission, the deadline is February 28.   

The following materials constitute a complete application to the Masters of Science in Art Therapy Program -

• Online application
• $45 application fee ($100 for international students)
• Transcripts (Use Mount Mary's transcript request form to help move the process forward.)
• Three letters of recommendation
• Portfolio (Submit 12-20 artworks in at least three studio areas on a CD in JPEG format)
• Career goal statement
• Academic paper sample
• Interview with the Program Director

Application materials should be submitted to the Office for Graduate Education, Mount Mary College, 2900 N. Menomonee River Parkway, Milwaukee, WI 53222.

From its inception, Mount Mary College has been a women's college. Male students are welcome to enroll in our post-baccalaureate certificate and graduate programs.
