WINDOW

FOCUS:

The artist, Giorgione, in

"Adoration of the Shepherds",

represents the simple shepherds

joined by Mary and Joseph in

worship of Jesus. Each individual

brings his/her own unique gift

of self to the Lord. Through the

guidance of the teacher, the

sixth grade student comes to

realize the importance of this

gift when it is joined to others'

in a communal act. Belonging to

a group, then, takes on a signi-

ficance and power that one person

alone could not have.
