NEW Leadership Wisconsin Program National Education for Women (NEW) Leadership™ Wisconsin is a non-partisan program for college women designed to address the under-representation of women in politics at the local, regional, state and national levels. NEW Leadership's goal is to educate, empower and encourage more women to take on public leadership roles at all levels, up to and including elective office. We aim to prepare a new generation of women leaders with vision and courage, ready to participate effectively in the decision-making arenas of politics and business and to improve the lives of women, men and children in their communities and beyond. The heart of NEW Leadership™ Wisconsin is an intensive, six-day residential summer institute held in June on the campus of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. Here students learn from and interact with women involved in politics and policymaking, and work with educators and experts in the fields of leadership, history, politics, diversity, social issues and more. So, who are ideal NEW Leadership candidates?
Alumnae Survey - The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) is conducting a survey of all participants of NEW Leadership™ programs across the country. The survey is designed to help individual institutions evaluate the impact of their programs and to assess how we can all better serve our alumnae. If you have not received an invitation to participate in the NEW Leadership alumna survey and would like to, please contact Sasha Patterson, NEW Leadership™ program manager. |
